Today in 1971: Apollo 14 Lunar Landing (realigned)

Today in 1971: Landing of Apollo 14 on the Moon. The astronauts (Alan Shepard and E. Mitchell) came down at latitude 3° 40′ S, longitude 17° 28′ W, near the crater Fra Mauro. They were the first to take a ‘lunar cart’ to the lunar surface.
