Yuri's Night Haiti 2016
Meeting with children in a school (Institut Le Narcisse) where chidren oriented activities will be done like astronomy releted cartoons have be loaded for them and basic explanation given about basic astronomy and space travel.
This activity with children was inspired by Universe Awareness.

Fisrt part of the party:
Beginning at 10:00 AM
Meeting with children in a school (Institut Le Narcisse) where chidren oriented activities will be done like astronomy releted cartoons have be loaded for them and basic explanation given about basic astronomy and space travel. 
Second part of the party:
Beginning at 5:00 PM
Meeting with older children, professional students and the general public interrested in astronomy and wanting to celebrate the event. Powerpoint Presentations and video projections have been done. Drinks were served served. This activity has been done accordingly with our strategy to communicate science to the general public as stated in our strategic document and regular activities planning to share knowlegde. We had had a special guest, M. Anderson from New York Time who was sharing the celebration with us.

Beginning at 6:00 PM
Special episode of the radio show "Astronomie en Equilibre", a general radio show about basic astronomy sponsored by Astronomers Without Borders.
We have been talking about the pioners in space travel particularly Yuri Gagarine and the Appolo 11 adventure.
We had had a special guests who was there at that time listening to the media of that epoch.
Second part of the party:
Beginning at 7:30 AM
Special meeting after the radio show with all people interrested in astronomy and the experience of the pionneers. Invitations have been sent throu the radio emissions since two weeks and we had had a special guest who participated in this party where PowerPoint Presentation and video projection about this space event have been projected. Some drinks followed (Prestige beer: the local Haitian Beer.)
