New nova in the sky: V5669 Sagittarii

Its official name now is V5669 Sagittarii. It has been discovered since september 27 by a japanese amateur astronom named Koichi Itagaki .

The nova is visible from amateur telescope in the constellation of Sagitarius. Yoy may use the AAVSO chart to pin point this nova.

Use this wide finder map of Sagittarius to get a general idea of the nova’s location. Lucky for us, it’s in the same low power field of view of the pretty cluster-dark nebula combo NGC 6520 and Barnard 86, the Inkspot Nebula. Source: Stellarium (from UniverseToday)
